Here is only a nuance, if you planned to change several hotels on the trip in the next couple of days, then you should abandon this venture, since the luggage will be brought only to the hotel specified in the application! Basically, next, you can only wait for your luggage to be brought to you. If for 2 weeks, the luggage is not found, then it is considered forever lost and you will have to return the money, at the rate of 20 USD per 1 kilogram of luggage. If you had very valuable things in your luggage, then you can sue the airline within 3 months. That you would be compensated for 20 bucks per kilo and much more.
Personal experience of lost baggage at the airport

In your home country, it's easier, easier to express yourself and easier to get your luggage home rather than being tied to a hotel.
